AEP Ohio wants to help our customers save money and energy. That's why we're offering an instant discount on qualified ENERGY STAR compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) you purchase at participating retailers.

No coupons or rebates needed -- just immediate savings at the register. Choose from a variety of CFL bulbs and light fixtures at these participating stores (including Home Depot, Costco, Meijer, Sam's Club and others).

There is a 12-bulb limit per purchase. Discount is available while supplies last. Must be a member of Costco or Sam's Club to receive a discount at those stores.

Wondering how to recycle your old CFLs?

Shop for CFLs and get an immediate discount at our convenient online SMART Lighting Store, where you'll find a large selection of energy efficient lighting - including specialty or those hard-to-find CFLs.

Today's CFLs are available in a variety of options such as size, color, light output, wattage, indoor and outdoor. They also:

• Use about 75 percent less energy than a standard incandescent light bulb and last 10 times longer.
• Can save you $20 - $30 over the life of the bulb per CFL.
• Provide a bright, pleasant light.
• Fit in almost any indoor and outdoor fixtures.
• Produce less heat making them safer.
• Help protect the environment.
