With AEP Ohio's Custom Program, your business can receive incentives for purchasing high efficiency equipment and implementing industrial process improvements and technologies that reduce energy consumption and peak demand.
All business (non-residential) customers are eligible to participate, and energy efficient improvements that reduce energy consumption and peak demand that aren't covered in AEP Ohio's Prescriptive Program qualify.
The Custom Program helps reduce the payback period of equipment, promote energy efficiency and lower your electricity bill.
Ready to begin your project? Our Solution Provider Network includes companies in your area who are trained in our programs and can help you complete your project.
- Before purchasing equipment or committing to a project, please complete the following documents:
- Application Form (Application is for Prescriptive and Custom Programs)
- Supporting documentation as described in the application form
- AEP Ohio reviews the application and if approved, funding is reserved.
- Complete your project installation by the date specified on the approved proposal. Within 60 calendar days of the installation completion date, you'll complete the final application form and provide required supporting documentation to AEP Ohio.
- AEP Ohio reviews the final application and releases funds to you within 30 days.
Incentive funding is limited
- The limit for each project is $300,000.
- The limit for each business entity (corporation, LLC, partnership, etc) is based on their tariff, as indicated below:
- A sliding scale incentive reduction will be incorporated when the calculated incentive exceeds $160,000 per project.

| Any Other Tariff | $600,000 overall for years 2009-2011 |
